Sortie 67

The original score for director Jephte Bastien’s Sortie 67 blends traditional African percussion and orchestral strings with contemporary hip hop.  The film, following the story of a mixed-race boy who grows up in foster care and eventually falls into a life of crime in Montreal’s St-Michel district, won the “Claude-Jutra” Genie Award (Best First-Time Director) in 2010.
